FAQ

Q. When are you open?

A. We have shows every Friday and Saturday night. Thursday night shows are starting on the 30th of May 2024 and will be on every 2nd Thursday. Please see our TICKETS page for dates.

Q. How do I purchase tickets?

A. Tickets are purchased online via our TICKETS page on this website using a debit or credit card. If you are having trouble purchasing tickets online, please call us on 0432 057 224. Phone is manned 9AM - 4PM Tuesday - Saturday. If you are a large group (over 20) we can invoice you if you prefer. If you would like this option, please PM us on Facebook, email us on info@luxnoir.com.au or phone us to arrange an invoice. Please note that paid invoices are also sent out automatically upon ticket purchase.

Q. How to I redeem my Gift Voucher?

A. Just give us a call on 0432057224, message us on Facebook or email us on info@luxnoir.com.au and we'll get you booked in! You cannot redeem your voucher online.

Q. Can I reserve a ticket?

A. No, unfortunately we do not reserve tickets. All tickets must be purchased to ensure your booking.

Q. If I'm in a group but we are buying our tickets separately, will we be seated together?

A.  Yes, when buying your ticket online there is a question that asks if you are part of a group. Just put a person or group name in there and you will be seated with everyone who noted the same name. PLEASE NOTE: Lux's tables are fixed in place to optimize everyone's view of the show. Depending on the amount and size of groups that have booked you may not all be seated at the same table and may be spread over 2 or 3 tables next to each other.

Q. How do I book one of the Group Specials?

A.  To qualify for our 'Party Package', 'Birthday Party Special' or 'Hens Night Special' you must purchase 8 or more General Entry or VIP Dinner and Show tickets. Once you have purchased your tickets, which can be done individually or in 1 transaction (please see the above question regarding group purchases), please contact us via pm, email or phone to let us know that you have purchased the tickets and would like the SPECIAL applied to your booking. Once we have confirmed your purchase we will apply the requested SPECIAL (& any free ticket that is part of the SPECIAL) to your booking. Group Specials are only available for shows on Friday and Saturday. Group specials are not available for shows on a Thursday.

Q. What happens if I'm part of a group, but some people purchased VIP tickets, and some purchased general entry?

A. If you are part of a group that want to be seated together but some of the group members buy VIP tickets and some buy General entry tickets, please be aware that you ALL may possibly be seated at a non-VIP table. Those with VIP tickets will, of course, still receive all the other VIP perks.

Q. How many tickets are available on the date I want?

A. You can check! You will be able to see up to 50 yourself by clicking on the date you want and adding tickets. The system will allow you to add up to 50 but it will only allow you to add the number of tickets that are available for that date. For example... If you are trying to purchase 12 and it will only allow you to put in 7, then there are only 7 tickets left to that show. If buying individually as part of a group, we would recommend checking to make sure there are enough tickets available before starting to purchase.

Q. Do you cater to dietary requirements?

A. Yes we do. ​Most dietary requirements, including (but not limited to) Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten free (Celiac), Lactose free and Dairy free can be catered to, but must be noted when purchasing the ticket. We cannot guarantee a request if made on the night. When buying your ticket there is a question that asks for dietary requirements. Simply put your request in there.

Q. How many tickets can I buy at once?

A. You can purchase up to 50 tickets in 1 transaction. If you are purchasing more than 50 tickets please contact us first so we can confirm there are enough tickets available for you to purchase. The event will only allow you to purchase the number of tickets that are available for that show. For example... If you are trying to purchase 10 and it will only allow you to put in 7, then there are only 7 tickets left to that show.

Q. What time does it start and finish?

A. VIP ticket holders can enter from 6.30pm and General entry ticket holders from 7.00pm. Dinner is served as guests arrive. The 1st Act of the show starts at approximately 8pm. During intermission dessert is served. The 2nd Act of the show finishes at approximately 10 - 10.30pm, depending on the show.

Q. What is your seating like?

A. Our seating is predominately standard tables and chairs with a small number of raised seats. If you have any seating requirements, please fill in the question that asks about it when purchasing your ticket.

Q. Are Tickets refundable?

A. All sales are final, and we do not offer refunds or transfers unless, as stated by the QLD Office of Fair Trading, there is a major problem with the product/service offered.

In some cases, as a show of good faith on our behalf, transfers may be offered at our discretion. If you have requested a transfer and have been transferred to another date and the show on the new date that you have been transferred to is cancelled or changed in any way, you are not in this case entitled to a refund. You are, however, eligible for another transfer. For more information, please see our REFUND POLICY.

Q. Where are you located?

A. We are located at 232 - 234 Flinders St, Townsville City, 4810. This is the corner of Flinders St and Denham St.

Q. Are children allowed?

A. No, our shows are MA 15+ however due to the environment no one under 18 is allowed to enter. 

​

Q. Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

A. No, unfortunately due to the age of the building, we are not wheelchair accessible.
